Last week we went to visit Stonehenge and The Salisbury Cathedral! My first impression of Stonehenge was much unlike what I thought it would be. Stonehenge dates back to around 3000 B.C and the reason behind it being built still remains very mysterious. The structure was much larger than what I had pictured and lies in a very rural, agriculturally rich area two hours outside of London. Although tourists are only allowed to view the stones from behind the rope, the stones remain in close proximity. After Stonehenge we went to a town called Salisbury, just a 20 minute drive from the stones. There, we toured the Salisbury Cathedral, a Cathedral that dates back to 1220. The Cathedral was absolutely breathtaking both inside and out!
